Cardisha and Jaydon are a Jamaican couple who met in – of all places – their local grocery store.
According to Cardisha:
“The sun was shining on me the day we met. I was walking out of the store with a cart full of items. As I approached the crossing, I was told, with the wave of “go ahead and cross”, by a handsome looking guy. I crossed. As I crossed, I gave him a kind smile and mouthed “thank you”. As I approached my car and started unloading groceries, I noticed where he parked and followed him with my eyes. Good thing I had on sunglasses. He was walking towards the grocery store door, on his cell phone, yet still glancing back at me. Something told me to catch him before he went in the store. So…I did…Forty-five minutes later, in the same parking spot, I told Mr. Man that I would see him soon. The rest is history.”
Even though Cardisha was born in America, the couple share an appreciation of Jamaican food and culture. They could think of nothing better than to get married on the island surrounded by friends, family and sunshine.
Their wedding took place at Hummingbird Hall in Montego Bay Jamaica on 24 February 2012.
Cardisha (banker, 31) is American from the State of Delaware; Jaydon (musician, 33) is from Portmore, Jamaica.
